I love fortune cookies
Jun 29th
Not a particularly enthralling post here but the wisdom is ageless. I received this fortune in a cookie recently and thought “how true”
“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand“
According to this quotes site, Confucius wrote this sometime between 551 BC (his birth) and 479 BC (his death).
One of the ways I make money going to college
Jun 26th
If you are a long time reader then you know that occasionally I will write a sponsored post. These are paid for by PayPerPost which pays me and thousands of other college types to write posts and place ads on blogs. This is better than the usual job because I get to pick when I work and what I am going to do. The money I earn goes into my paypal account (see the donate link on right J ) and usually goes towards buying books. Some writers with really popular blogs make thousands a month. You could potentially make just as much or more!
Opera Mini 4 beta is now available
Jun 19th
If you own a wireless device or phone with Java support you can begin using Opera Mini 4 beta today. In comparison to Pocket Internet Explorer in Windows Mobile it rocks. You will need java support on your device. If you are a pocket pc owner and you do not have a midlet manager or java micro environment download and install this. After installing the midlet manager, download and install the .jar file from the Opera site below. I really suggest trying it out. I am very happy with this new version.

Kim Jong Il Blew Up the Moon!
Jun 12th
Okay he didn’t really; I went outside and looked at it. Okay I didn’t look at it, didn’t even go outside, but I’m pretty sure it’s still there. Nevertheless this website had me worried for a brief moment that Yahoo had lost its collective mind (is that possible? If it’s collective then that means that someone has to have it or everyone has it all at once and if it were lost then who would you hold responsible?)
Is your ISP spying on you?
Jun 11th
Slashdot tells us about an article at wired about 8 of the major ISPs and their privacy ratings. Check it out to see how yours is fairing and whether you should be faring towards a different ISP. Much of the conclusion is opinion based impressions when lack of data was present. But it seems that my ISP is doing the best out of all of them.
