My Shiny New Bicycle
Thursday, January 24th, 2008It has been a long time since I got a new bicycle. This time I went for something that was more useable in itself but would cater to all my needs.
Feast your eyes upon the Montague! Yes it folds!

Not much in the way of press about this but all of a sudden this kindling has turned into a fire. Amazon has brought E-ink digital paper technology to the backpack and reading chair overnight. The Kindle is sort of like a notebook and sort of like a paperback, but not. It uses Amazon’s Whispernet to download new volumes, books, newspapers, blogs etc. It even has Wikipedia access. The display is readable in all types of lighting that normal paper is readable in. I can’t describe how cool this is so you will have to check it out yourself.
See the video
This video of the Bose, yes the audio company, suspension system, is just awesome. At the end it does something really cool that will take you back to the ’80’s. All I can say is where do I get one?
Some rumors are flying around saying that T-Mobile will soon be carrying the HTC Kaiser, aka TYTN II.
Hell there is even a video
I just recently found an accessories site that had some for the Vario III. Which happened to have a picture of the TYTN II. I searched tmobile.com for the Vario III and found nothing.
Could they know something?
Looks cool, and depending on the interior and performance, I would seriously consider buying one. It is actually an electric car with a backup motor in the form of a 1.6 flexifuel. (meaning better fuels too!) According to Gizmag it will travel 62 miles on a full charge and then the backup motor takes over. It is more of a town car considering that most of us drive about 60 miles in any given day. It plugs in and so far comes in white.
I know there are literally thousands of people that have been dying to be able to read this site from their phones. Well rest easy my tired and forsaken people, salvation has arrived. You can know view a decent version of Mike Benton Dot Org from your mobile phone! Just point your phone browser to www.mikebenton.org and the website will do the rest. In the mobile version if you see […] that means the theme has broken down the front page so you can see the intros for each post. Go ahead and click on the post’s title for the full posting.
Below is a video of the site from a Windows Mobile phone. If you are using Windows Mobile or Pocket PC and are still seeing the desktop version then you probably have the phone identifying itself as a desktop (to fix, in Pocket Internet Explorer click Menu > View > Default)
Enjoy your Mobile Mike Madness!
PS the search doesn’t work right L
This man could have the key to Stonehenge. Using some gravity and simple mechanics he moves giant concrete blocks around by himself and in the video you can watch him stand the largest one (the weight of two bulldozers) on its end.

Geoff Hatton, a British Hovercraft engineer has gone and done it. He invented a flying saucer/hovercraft that really works. Purportedly, the British Government dismissed his idea only to have our US Government snag it up, for its many…uses. As a result of the design, the hoversaucer can bump into objects and still recover as the blades are not exposed as a helicopter’s are. Click here for the original article. Click the picture for the video of it in action.

Thought this was interesting. The area mapped out is how much area of solar panels, at 8% efficiency, it would take to supply the world with its current energy usage. Today efficiency is getting closer to 20% and there are even some dyes that were recently made that could achieve even higher efficiency. Click the picture for the full story.
Everything is being ‘lectrified and digitized. It is the bathtub’s turn today. Ondine has created a semi-elegant solution for those of us that enjoy a one button bath. Yes there are many buttons but that is simply to make sure all your button pushing needs are met. At a simple wave of your digit, the ESS-Tub will fill the ole soaker to a predetermined level with your predetermined temperature of water leaving you free to read more of my site while it fills with no worries. Other options exist such as warming up the tub in the middle of your aquatic adventure. Lower and Upper temperature limits so you don’t get burned or frozeneded, controls the shower head, and also has a remote so you can turn it on and up from the comfort of your lazy boy.
