Driveway.com just opened its doors and wants you to know about this awesome new service. It’s simple and allows you to send large files with ease
How it works:
- Go to Driveway.com
- On the very first page is a browse button, click it
- Select the file you want to upload (up to 500MBs per file! With unlimited total storage)
- Click either “Send files for Read” or “Send Files for Edit” (for large office documents like word, excel and powerpoint)
- Depending on your connection speed you will be done in moments and given a link that you can send to coworkers, friends and family.
Why is this so great? There is no registration required, no long forms to go through, no waiting. I tried it out with my first podcast and it worked great. The download speeds are superb and only vary with file size (and your connection).
Additionally there is a plug-in for windows explorer that allows you to skip the browser session and simply right click a file on your desktop and instantly begin uploading your large files for sharing. What do you have to lose? I’m going to start uploading a freeware game I like to play right now!
